The 3D Process

Here is a streamlined 9-step process for 3D modeling to understand how the work will be done after we start a colaboration

1. Initial Consultation and Briefing

Meet with the client to understand their vision, goals, and specific needs. Gather reference (sketches, photos, or examples) and clarify technical requirements like scale, style, and file formats. Define the scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and budget.

2. Concept Development

Create a mood board or style reference to align with the client's vision. Share rough sketches or low-poly blockouts to establish proportion and design direction.

3. Base Modeling

Build the 3D model's foundation with clean topology and accurate scale
Share progress snapshots to ensure alignment.

4. Add Details

Add fine details, such as intricate geometry, bevels or sculpted features. Refine proportions and polish the model based on client feedback.

5. UV Mapping

Unwrap the model to create clean UV layouts for texturing. Ensure there are no distortions and that the layout is optimized for painting or procedural textures.

6. Texturing and Material Creation

Develop materials and textures (PBR or handpainted) or client-provided assets or create them custom. Image based textures or Node based textures.

7. Lighting and Rendering

Set up lighting for the final renders, ensuring the scene highlights the model effectively. Produce high-resolution final renders from multiple angles or requests.

8. Final Review and Revisions

Present the complete model and assets in a client meeting
Once approved, finalize all the deliverables.

9 Delivery and Handover

Package and deliver all the files (source files, renders, textures)
Provide Instructions for using the model.
